One year
It is more than just a measure of time
Like this poem is more than just a rhyme
It is an expression of what you mean to me
Representing what you have opened my heart to see
There is more to life than me..
There is you.
You are the one who makes my day, every day
The reason before bed every night I say
I can't wait for tomorrow.
They say nothing is perfect, but if only they knew
Your smile, your laugh...the way I see you
They would change their minds.
When I see you, feel you, hear you whisper in my ear
"I love you," the entire world just disappears
It is just you and me.
One year
It is more than just a measure of time
It's the beginning of us.
As I said in class! I think this poem is precious and I know we are supposed to critique each other's poetry but I wouldn't change a things. I would have loved to get something like this from a guy. Nicely done my friend.
